Word cards are divided into groups according to the subject and parts of speech: Verbs, Nouns, Adjectives, Adjectives, Prepositions and Conjunctions.
Why exactly 3000+ words?
Linguists believe that the basis of vocabulary in English is about 3,000 words that give an understanding of 85% of the text, and the second 3,000 add only 5%. Each next thousand words adds much less than the previous one.
This is due to the fact that less common words (not included in the most frequent 3000) are rare. Therefore, it is believed that in order to learn the language as soon as possible, it is most effective to learn the most common 3000 words, and then replenish the vocabulary by reading and listening to original materials.: news, movies, radio, etc.
