Master Bedroom Update - what we’ve been up to this weekend.

A week or so ago we completed the landing, totally blocking up the door to the fourth bedroom. As lots of you will know we have a #taylorwimpeymidford and the plan was to always use the fourth room as a dressing room.

But seeing as it borders the master, we decided to make it part of the room and have a walk in wardrobe rather than having to walk next door. So we cut this hole through from our room to the dressing room.

Our bedroom curtains arrive next week, so this weekend we decided that we needed to get on and actually paint it, and finish off the skirting boards around the bottom of the reveal.

It’s painted in Farrow and Ball Cornforth White, my favourite paint colour. We’ve still got to do the beading which will frame the artwork we are yet to buy for above the bed, but that needs to wait until the curtains are here so we can work out exactly how wide it needs to be.

Then of course there are the pendants to sort. Our last hanging white plastic pendants - which I chose the design for many months ago.

Although there is still a long way to go with this room, it’s come such a long way since we moved in. And it’s finally starting to look like the vision we had for it.
