On 8, 9 and 10 May, Valencia will become the world capital of higher education with the celebration of the 5th Universia International Rectors' Summit. The event will bring together more than 600 rectors and academic representatives and will feature discussions on three main axes: lifelong and continuous learning, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, and networking and interconnection between universities.
In the current climate, where we are tackling important challenges, including digital transformation, the climate emergency and social inequality, universities have enormous potential as to act as catalysts. For this reason, the 5th Universia International Rectors' Summit, under the slogan "University and Society", will focus on the role of universities as a driving force for more sustainable social and economic development.
The 5th Universia International Rectors' Summit 2023 is a continuation of the events in Salamanca (Spain, 2018), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil, 2014), Guadalajara (Mexico, 2010) and Seville (Spain, 2005).
