With Vokabee, we have tried to find a relatively simple way to learn vocabulary that is easy to understand even for the youngest students.
Play: Learning vocabulary with music: According to the famous Superlearning method, the vocabulary and the translation are spoken with a calm and meditative music in the background, in small time intervals. Helpful when you are on the road, in the car, bus or while bathing in the bathtub. Some people also learn better by listening.
Add your own vocabulary: Create a collection and add new vocabulary. When you are online, the word will be translated immediately. It also works the other way round: you enter a word in your language and get the translation in the foreign language.
Scan: You can also scan the vocabulary from your language book. Handwriting is also recognised. Use the camera function of your mobile phone or load a photo from the photo library. Select the area with the foreign words and the translation. If the recognition does not fit exactly, you can change the recognised word immediately and save it.
Download collections from the Store: You can download ready to go collections from our store. We will regularly release new collections with different themes.
Share: Share your own collections with other VokaBee users. You can invite your friends to join and expand it. Every Vokabee User can add new vocabulary to a shared collection reshare it. Shared collections are freely available to everyone.

Search: The vocabulary can be searched in the list by word or translation. You can also search for the index in the list or for a segment, e.g. from 5-10. This is useful if you want to practise specific words in the list for a test.
Wordlist: The list can be divided into folders. You can add, delete, rename and move new folders or words.
Checklist: Here you can see all the vocabulary that is relevant for the test. Divided by progress: "To do (0 Stars) Doing (1-3 stars) / Almost Done (4-5 stars)/ Done (6 stars)".
Check: Scientific studies have proven: If you repeat the vocabulary 6 times it will be stored in your long-term memory. A daily repetition of 15 words is much more effective than many at once. We do the same here:
In the "Check", 15 random vocabulary words are selected for testing. If the heart is filled up, it means that you have practised the vocabulary every day. Your progress is shown as a percentage. Or as a number 12/24 (done/open).
Practice reading and listening:
First the word is pronounced (can also be read if needed). 3 suggestions are displayed and only one of them is correct.
Practise writing:
If you type the word correctly, you get a star.
Practise conjugation:
Now you can train the conjugation of English and French verbs. You can add the conjugation tables to the check and then test all forms. (Grammar Check)
If you get the word wrong, it will be repeated at the end. With 6 stars, the word is stored in the long-term memory and classified as learned. The word is then no longer used for testing.
Guidelines:
Your data remains on your mobile phone. We do not have access to your data. No registration required. You can work completely offline. You need an internet connection when using automatic translation, scanning and downloading a collection from the store.
