Each turn, a card is drawn and placed into any empty cell of their 5-by-5 grid. Once committed, cards cannot be moved. An AI will play simultaneously. When player grids are full after 25 cards, grids are scored according to the American point system, and the AI grid is revealed for comparison.
This Poker Squares app is a Gettysburg College ACM chapter project. Contributors to this project include Professor Todd Neller (AI player) and John Duncan (everything else).
The 5-card hand of each grid row and column is scored according to the American point system:
Royal Flush: 100, Straight Flush: 75, Four of a Kind: 50, Full House: 25, Flush: 20, Straight: 15, Three of a Kind: 10, Two Pair: 5, One Pair: 2, High Card: 0
