I tried a totally new-to-me technique for this mani for this week's color challenge, and I think the result deserves a grid post because it came out much better than expected! 😅
Any type of marbling has been intimidating to me, so when I heard of "scoop marbling", i was interested as it seemed less stressful than other notorious marbling methods.
To do this technique, you put a drop of your marble colors next to each other on a plastic bag or other surface, and scoop up each one with a wide, flat brush. You then drag it along your nail (that has a thicker layer of still wet polish - this is important for the blending!) and wiggle it around until you're happy with the design that's left behind, and lift up while dragging to create the trailed effect toward the top. Sort of like the regular lacquer version of blooming gel wave nail art.
