Part 2a. The Living Room . I will share our living room concept in several posts to highlight some things that might be important. . Let’s start from the wall. We both want a wall treatment, that still have modern look but still have a classic accent. We dont want to wainscoat the walls because apart from that will be expensive, the maintenance would be challenging as well. So, these lines are the answer. It adds ambience to the room and provide spots for more hanging decorations (paintings and photos) in the future. I am a art collector wannabe (boleh dong cita2 dulu). And the gold color? Simply add more luxurious feeling yet match with the walls’ painting that is broken white. . And what goes well with that gold color? Dark blue! Actually when @fianointerior team proposed to use dark blue, we were like, really? But then we looked at the blue sample, we immediately said yes! It is not only bold, but elegant at the same time. We chose semi-gloss finish to maintain the modern look yet still bring a little bit of shine. . The brief for TV credenza design was just a simple table, we dont want an old-school TV rack with huge space for decoration. And we love also dark mirror. Voila! This credenza comes with 2 drawers in the outer side and 2 storage (for modem, etc) in the middle just below the TV. And on top of it is leather. Fine and perfect. . The TV size itself is 50inch. Quite big for the space. But wait, later on I will tell you why because this was part of the grand design of our common room in the 1st floor. . Last but not least, we chose to use blue roller blind here, to emphasize the modern ambience yet chic and match with the overall look of the room. .
