One of the DIY projects in my upcoming book WILD CREATIONS that I was super excited about sharing was this idea of doing a paint by numbers jungle mural aka JUNGLE BY NUMBERS. My friend and insanely talented artist @drurybynum was a mural artist in the past and had created a jungle scene on his bedroom wall early in the year. When I saw it my jaw dropped and simultaneously a light bulb went off. The first thing I said to him was, I NEED ONE OF THESE IN MY FUTURE HOME and the second was, this would be really cool to do as a paint by numbers project. We could give everyone in the plant and interiors community a blueprint on how to paint a jungle scene in their home, office or wherever they saw fit, to make their space more lush without the need of live plants. So I commissioned him not only create the mural but to make a piece that I knew would become the jacket of the book. And holy shit did he nail it! 🔥 His hard work is all over this! What I truly love about this project is that once you project the line drawing, which a link is provided in the book for, and draw out the design, the painting just because some much fun and honestly, therapeutic. What’s even more exciting is that it can be a project done with the family. Each member of the family can take a number/s and get to painting together!
