I love my tv/fireplace wall in my living room that my dad built for me. It makes such an impact to that wall and the room. For the last few years I have wanted an electric fireplace in my living room for those damp & chilly days. I can’t have a gas fireplace in my condo, so electric is my only choice. It took my dad two years to come around and build this because he didn’t want to drill in the wall for cables and wiring. We agreed to build out (slide right to see construction) from the existing wall and plug the power surge power bar (tv, Apple TV and modem/wifi router are plugged in to the powe bar) outlet and my @napoleonfireplace is plugged into my green outlet. The build out is attached to the wall, not the floor. There is a compartment on the bottom part (fireplace) on the side and holds the power bar and modem/wifi router. The mantle is from @thewoodsource and stained with @varathane Ultimate Wood Stain in Briarsmoke and Varathane clear satin finish. I used @benjaminmoore paint for my walls. Main walls are Revere Pewter (HC-172) in Regal Select eggshell finish. TV/Fireplace wall is Chelsea Gray (HC-168) in Regal Select eggshell finish.
