My sweet little exposed shelving project is finally completed ⨠I adore how it turned out and learned so much. Iâm SO glad I stuck with the gold foil as a âback splashâ despite how poorly I executed it at first đ. The whole kitchen is getting a facelift, but this small bit included: â˘Removing the old TV cabinet (swipe for before photos) â˘Applying gold foil to bare wall and sealing it â˘Cutting to size, staining and installing shelving â˘Adding decorative trim to top â˘Painting the tile backsplash from tan to white â˘Replacing old stained glass insert (right of shelves) with decorative metal caging (gifted to me by the ever talented @marissatawneythaler) â˘hanging hooks for mugs + antique ladles â˘Staging. Soooo much fun! If youâve followed along in my stories you know that next up is painting some of the cabinetry- I couldnât be more excited. I reallllllly hope that this makeover helps people see that âdatedâ doesnât mean much of youâre willing to flex a little creative muscle. One bit at a time our new home (almost a year in!!) is feeling more and more like âoursâ đ¤âđź
