Last week @life_at_the_mews was asking for our clumsy stories, and my clumsiest moment happened just before we moved to the cottage. The day started badly when I arrived at work and realised my laptop was still at home. I drove back to collect it and as I was walking up our road realised I’d forgotten to lock the car. I sort of turned around to point the key at the car to lock it (as you do), but foolishly carried on walking at the same time and managed to walk full pelt into a lamppost. Hoping I’d escaped anyone seeing me looking like a complete tit I did my best to style it out despite being in a lot of pain, but I did see a lady on the other side of the road doing her best to hold in the giggles!   Two days later we moved house with me dosed up to the max on pain killers as I’d fractured my rib.
