So recently just wrapped up a kitchen reno. Besides the demo I was there up until a few days ago when a punch list crew went in to get that done while I started another project. But as you can see the renovation was a success! Starting with the demo, they ripped the flooring up to the sub, the whole ceiling out which needed reframed due to the house settling over time. Then I was able to run the new electric for the kitchen. Once the recessed lighting was in it was time to drywall the ceiling and spackle. After the ceiling had a tape coat we started the kitchen tile floor. The tile the customer picked out was pretty unique and keeping that pattern consistent was key when laying out this floor. After the floor was done we put down floor protection and started installing the cabinets. The left side with the appliances and wall cabinets went pretty quick but the right side took a little more time. Since the right side were originally wall cabinets I had to frame the bottoms out so a toe kick would fit underneath and so the height was at the window sill. The counter top would dive into the windows creating a little more space. After the counter tops went in I started on the backsplash while a co worker knocked out the appliances and hardware for the cabinets. We also added a gfci in between the windows that was never there before along with installing a new back exterior door and storm door. I wasn’t there to see it finished but from the looks of it, it turned out great! And the customers are very happy with the outcome! Another one in the books for TJK co! (Yes the plugs are missing in the back door. They got thrown away by mistake, not my doing. Also if ya kept up with my stories, these finished pics were not by me. Would have liked to have had a full view of the kitchen but hey shit happens)
