C H R I S T M A S C R A F T I N G // I love Christmas decorations but they can defo be spenny, so I wanted to create something that was thrifty and crafty all in one. I’ve seen so many beautiful hanging creations that I wanted to have a crack at making something to go over our island. Cue foraging from nature from our walks; a stick, fern, spruce, rosehip, holly, pampas grass, greenery, dried seed heads, anything with interesting shapes etc... you name it I collected it- yes we did get some stares 👀😂 wielding secateurs is a look! I then bought some oasis wire and bundled small sections of foliage and secured them to the branch with the wire continuously (so I didn’t cut it, I just wrapped the branch with foliage using the wire), alternating the foliage to point up and down as I went along - covering up the stick, wire/ gaps - all working in the same direction. I worked left to right. For the right hand end I just changed direction and added more foliage to the gap and even more when it was hanging up. Paul secured some hooks to the ceiling and I added some string loops to let it hang. Finally, I added some baubles @coxandcox (20% off!) of varying heights with more string.
