Since a home office has become the need of the hour, we built this space out of thin air.... literally. It was originally an empty stairwell within which we constructed a mezzanine floor of steel beams encased in wood to accommodate a lively little work space. For continuity we extended the custom made balusters and railing of the stairs to enclose the space and added a desk with hexagonal shelving above it.
