If only my work space looked like this every day, but honestly this is only once every fortnight...or...so 😗 . My production heavily depends on tidy surroundings, somehow I can't manage it too often. Receipts come in and get dumped on this desk, hand bags used on the day end up here too. And I have just realised my two planners are too big - add those there on the desk as well! . My daughter cut her very long hair last week and I'm keeping the cut hair in a plastic bag there too until I find a better place for it. She finds it creepy but she won't know it till she becomes a parent. . I also have a huge stationery box that I used when I was seriously working on my novel (first draft stage only). It's on the desk too and I can't figure out why now that I have lost momentum in writing the story. Why would I need post-it pads, a million sharp and blunt pencils, pens of every colour under the sun and so much more when I'm not writing! . Let me tell you, on any random weekday this desktop is more vibrant and versatile than P T Barnum's Circus. . But lately I have felt a breeze of change drifting in and around my mind - both towards the stalled novel and my desk tidiness. . Sometimes small changes need to happen to move you. Sometimes just a dream you had, a poem you read, an insult you heard in a fight, an outfit of different colour. Just something. . How does change happen in your life? Slowly or overnight.
