I just can't wait for Spring and being able to throw open all the doors and windows without freezing and we're not even half-way through Winter yet... . It seems such a long time since we had a long, sunny day, or is it just me? Really can't beat the feeling of warm sunshine on your face. We were so lucky from the beginning of the first lockdown and throughout the summer when we had almost back-to-back sunshine, which meant an open-door policy and socialising outside was preferable rather than absolutely necessity. I'm sure I was a brown bear in a former life because all I want to do at the moment is hunker down and hibernate (and eat πŸ”πŸ° my body weight in carbs πŸ™„ and mince pies!) . Bi-fold doors like these can seem a brilliant idea if buying or planning your garden room in warmer months but can seem cumbersome in Winter. If space allows, consider adding an additional, single door to the rear for easy access. It not only adds to the flexibility of the layout, it will also give you greater airflow in the summer - contemporary garden rooms like these which have a high-level of insulation and a wide expanse of glazing are prone to over-heating when the temperature gauge starts to climb, especially if it's south or south-west facing. Designing a garden room layout is definitely all about finding a balance that works throughout the year, so it's inviting and comfortable to use no matter the weather outside. .
