Since March, when the Global Pandemic was declared, there has been a spike in Americans working remotely. Many companies, such as Google, Microsoft, Uber and Airbnb, have either extended their work-from-home policies by a year, or have offered employees the option indefinitely.
While some of us have offices that are chic, spacious and complete with stunning views, others have set up creative little nooks in their kitchen or living room.
According to a survey by Zillow, most Americans working from home say they would consider moving to a different home with more space or a dedicated office if they continue working from home in the long term.
Listings mentioning a home office have increased by 10%. Having a space to work at home is now an important consideration for many, just as location and length of the morning commute have always been.
