The view from the Kitchen looking into my newly opened up Dining Room. I wanted to be able to stand in the kitchen cooking while being able to see into the dining room, and make it a real entertaining and social space, but my dad insisted on having some sliding doors if I wanted to close it off... so he built me these bespoke custom matt black doors with solid brass panels on the sides and these beautiful solid brass handle detail. I had this art deco pelmet made for along the top to tie it all together and frame the area, if the sliding doors are open or closed. We added these tall white radiators either side... I needed everything to be symmetrical, beautiful, elegant but still quite minimal... for maximum impact. The Great Gatsby mural was created by hand by myself... which took weeks!!! And I hand painted the flapper girl in the centre with martini cocktail glasses. 🍸🍸 because I wanted the space to feel like an art deco cocktail bar...
