Finishing touches in the works for this space. Have you ever tried envisioning what you want and keeping that vision strong over time? For two years, I wanted a 60” round dining table, preferably vintage or vintage like wood with an iron base. I looked at tables at all the usual go to furniture stores, estate sales, consignment shops, Craigslist and FB marketplace and I almost pulled the trigger a few times but never really saw anything I was wild about. So my search continued. Three weeks ago I had some time to kill before picking up my son from batting practice and made a quick stop into Goodwill, just down the street from his baseball academy. And there it was...a 60” round dining table. Vintage. With an iron base. It appears handmade and shows some love. The price? $160. As I shared the story with a very wise woman and my surprise at the uncanny replica of what I wanted, she said exactly above. “It’s because you kept that vision in your mind. That is why you found it. That is what brought this table to you. I truly believe in that.” This is just a table.
