H A P P Y M O N D A Y Well I’ve officially been a homeowner for 7 years and a day! This weekend marked my birthday and my home-iversary. 7 years ago our fabulous local estate agents went above and beyond to ensure I completed on my birthday - thank you Bennett Jones Partnership! I happened to be at a conference in London that day so my wonderful parents collected the keys, put up balloons and we enjoyed fish and chips and champagne in plastic tumblers on my living room floor. 7 years ago I started my renovation journey. This home was always bought as a project but in the last 7 years I’ve met the love of my life, got married, had 3 gorgeous children and it has become our family home. The love that has gone into this house I cannot put into words. There have been ups and downs; surprises and unplanned challenges; there have been good days and days where I have seriously questioned my sanity; but we have loved the journey! The last 12 months has certainly thrown us some curveballs but it has also been filled with many blessings. Maybe the next 12 months will see the renovation work reach completion (who am I kidding 🤪)? So we’ve enjoyed a weekend off renovation work and just enjoyed family time - snuggles on the sofa, walks up the woods and cake! @mydailyrenovation Day 23 Reduce, reuse, recycle ♻️ when building on a shoestring budget we reuse and recycle wherever possible!
