Monday Design Tip: We tend to hang our drapery too low, too short, too narrow. General rules of thumb for the DIY folks (there are always caveats and personal taste, of course): Mount your drapery rod 1/2 to 2/3 the distance from the top of the window to the ceiling. Per length, your drapery should at least touch the floor. The width of the drapery should be one-and-a-half to twice the width of the window. And the the rod should extend at least 6” on either side past the window or door to allow the drapery to open and expose the entire window. Photo and design by @hudsoninteriordesigns
