We are finishing an Oast for one of our oldest customers this week and it got me thinking about the light and how it has developed in the 6/7 years I first made the prototype. Little changes, that most wouldn't see but have made the design much better either to make, fit in-situ or to look at. This photo was taken on a great day with photographer @graham_atkinshughes it was my first solo photo shoot and was exhausting, mainly because I had decided to photograph 5 different products in 1 day! The light was suspended via steel cables on a long boom taken out of shot. Setting this up took several hours but now in my 7th year of using the photo it was definitely worth it. The venue was this fantastic crumbling house on the South bank of the Thames called The Master Shipwrights. If you pay attention to advertising you probably have seen its worn interior before. Time has flown by this year and actually when I think of how long ago this photo was taken it is scary to think of where the time has gone. My 30 year old self had no idea on where we would end up or how popular this light would be but in times of self-doubt this gives me confidence that I can do this and do it well. Stay strong all of those who have struggled with a tough slow year. 2021 is going to be better, surely?!
