What a wonderful Thanksgiving it was... A joint cooking effort between the husband and I, and we surprised ourselves by how delicious it was. No turkey this year, because I’m not a fan of turkey and he’s a vegetarian, and I even fried up my own onions for the top of the green bean casserole on a whim and lemme tell ya...that simple detail tasted a million times better than the store bought kind. Even made my own cranberry sauce for the first time and it was also stellar. All in all, a fun opportunity to experiment—though we miss our families—we made the best of it.
