Things I miss: that iBook laptop and the way the power light would pulse like a friendly little beating heart; this Vancouver apartment, which was overpriced, but special; the satisfaction that came from having an enviable job (I was a journalist); being braver about making my own art (see walls); the resilience of a youthful body, which was holding up beautifully despite the fact that I abused it constantly (eating disorder).
