Today is the official commencement of all things Christmas at our house and the pick-me-up I really need right now. All traces of Fall/Thanksgiving have been packed away. Along with that, was a bit of sadness yesterday when my family left for their long road trip back to the Midwest after spending the week with us. I heard word late last night that they finally arrived home safe and sound after a 13-hour drive, which makes me so relieved and happy today.
