It’s here! After waiting for what felt like a thousand years, our new dining table is here. It fits the space SO well which is fortunate because we ordered it before we moved in. It’s the perfect partner to our beloved Ercol chairs. We bought these from someone who clearly had no idea what they were, they were in great condition and just needed a little bit of love to restore their glory. We got two of the Carver style and four quakers - all for the ridiculous price of £55. That’s fifty five English pounds. We stripped the old varnish off the seat pads and used @frenchicpaint wax to finish it. We didn’t bother stripping the varnish of the back or legs as we were worried about damaging them so we just painted straight over the top with @frenchicpaint in Blackjack. I’m so happy with the finish and they work with the table really nicely. And most of all, FIFTY FIVE POUNDS!
