Happy Tuesday that feels like Thursday (or maybe that’s just me 😃). Today I want to talk about ‘scale’ when designing a space. As you guys know we completely gutted and renovated our bathroom this summer/fall and there were some tricky things in this somewhat awkward space to consider, manly scale. The room is a very large rectangle with vaulted walls and ceilings that extend into the master bedroom. Because of the angles and square footage of the space one of the things I had to seriously take into account was the scale of the finishes. The mirrors were the first thing I purchased for this reno. I knew I needed mirrors that didn’t look like something was constantly weird when looking at this vaulted wall. I found these AMAZING Astor mirrors from @potterybarn and they are perfect!! I also finished this wall with board and batten to break it up a bit and then added wallpaper from @romosa_wallcoverings which gives the space some warmth. The other finish you don’t see in this pic regarding scale are the large format tiles used in the shower but I’ll talk about those later. In the meantime, here’s to finally having a beautiful master bathroom! . . #finditstyleit #smmakelifebeautiful #sodomino #jungalowstyle #homewithrue #howihaven #bathroomdesign #bathroom #luxurylifestyle #baths #bathroomsofig #idcoathome #currentdesignsituation #oneroomchallenge #oneroomchallenge2020 #houseenvy #mydomaine #inmydomaine #lonnyliving #ruedaily #designsponge #mycovetedhome #myinteriorstylefile #bathrooms_of_insta #christmasbathroom
