Historically, transom windows were a small operable window above a door thats purpose was to aid in heating or cooling a house. Using the same concept for a steam shower, adding a small transom or louver window to a fully-enclosed shower, allows for as much or as little steam capture as desired without sacrificing any functionality, design or aesthetic features.
