Transformation Wednesday, y’all? 🤷🏻‍♀️ There was no bath upstairs when we moved in, only one downstairs which will probably become the temporary kitchen sink 😆 So it’s been decided, we are tackling the kitchen ourselves. Now I don’t just mean fitting the kitchen but the building works too. Removing the enormous load bearing chimney breast, adding the steels to support the 5.5 ton weight, hoping the house doesn’t fall down... that kind of thing. It also means we can’t decorate our bedroom for a while as we will need to take the floor up in both rooms above the kitchen to fit the steels (this will mean there is no nib in the kitchen though, just totally smooth walls & ceilings, which will be worth it). We weren’t in a rush doing the bathroom as we had the downstairs one but the kitchen is going to be a whole new ballgame for us. Anyway, thanks so much for all of the lovely words of encouragement & temporary kitchen tips yesterday. Looks like I need to ask Santa for an electric hob & a slow cooker.
