RECEIVING GUESTS : PART III Following up on my prior two posts it’s only fair to post some more images of the en-suite bathroom that complements my colonial guestroom. When drawing up a floor plan to my top floor ( it was one open space with not a single wall ) I decided to have this bathroom primarily open up into the main guestroom, yet to still add an extra door into the hallway in case more guests would ever stay over simultaneously sleeping elsewhere in the house; this allows them to use the bathroom as well without disturbing the sleeping guests in the princess bed, with locks on the doors from all sides. 😊 Designing under a sloped roof structure poses its own design challenges of course, having to steer away from the lower sides and keeping away from the head hazardous beams. The floor to the bathroom was heightened in order to allow for pipes etc to pass; an idea that horrified me but one cannot have it all I guess. The tiling however allowed to be installed up to 4,3 metres in height and was carefully cut and placed around the wooden structures and windows without any ugly corner baguettes ( except for the vulnerable step up where reinforcement was needed ). I’m so proud of that. The tiles are all very simple, they just are; nothing to brag about. The message however was COLOUR! Simply colour! And in all fairness, when was it ever not? 🧡 #guestroom #guestroomdecor #bathroom #englishtoilet #ralphlaurenhome #interiorluxury #interiorluxurysignerslife #interiorluxurydesign #koeneeckhout #decorateurinterieur #interiordesigners #interiordecorating #givemeallthecolor🌈 #colourfulliving #livingwithcolour #bathroomdesign #bathroomchic #beautifulbathrooms #worldtraveler #worldofinteriors #classicinteriors #interiorchic #tropicalstyle #walllight #ormolu #bronzedore #elephant #gildedbronze #colourfultiling #colourfultiles
