Pop over to @havenmagnz to see article on my home and business. This photo is of the hallway looking into the children’s bathroom. Marble mosaics on the floor provide a timeless but hardy floor for a family bathroom. Underfloor heating a must in a Wellington Villa. The walls are tiled half way in white subway tiles - another timeless material that suits a Villa and protects against knocks. The walls are paired Resene Tuna - a lovely dark grey with hints of blue. The dark walls add interest to the white walls in the rest of the house and tie back to the Double Tuna bookcase in the kitchen. The vanity has been custom made and provides lots of storage for three girls. Freestanding baths provide a sculptural, contemporary look. A Harry Culy photograph over the bath finishes off the room nicely, complimenting the Ans Westra photograph on the opposite wall. The water colour paintings in the hallway are by Maude Burge, a friend and contemporary of Frances Hodgkins, and the oil painting is by Waiarapa artist Stephen Allwood.
